Five shot dead including two brothers over long running feud in Jaranwala

JARANWALA (Dunya News) - Five people, including two brothers and a nephew, were killed and five others were injured in an indiscriminate firing incident on a long-running feud in Jaranwala.

According to details, the tragic incident took place at Chak 562 on Nankana Road in Jaranwala where motorcyclists stopped a passenger van at gunpoint and opened fire indiscriminately.

Two brothers, Idrees and Abdul Rauf, their nephew Hasnain, van driver Sujawal and an unidentified passenger were killed and five others were seriously injured in the firing.

Rescue personnel shifted the injured to Civil Hospital Nankana Sahib where the condition of the two injured is said to be critical. According to police, the accused opened fire on their opponents Idrees and Abdul Rauf over a long-running feud. Raids are being carried out at various places to nab the attackers.
