Rawalpindi: Inquiry Committee formed to probe death of nursing student
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - After the mysterious death of a nursing student at Holy Family Hospital in Rawalpindi, the management has formed an inquiry committee to investigate.
The hospital administration has set up a three-member inquiry committee on the death of student Samia and issued a notification on the alleged negligence of the hospital management after the mysterious death of a nursing third year student at Rawalpindi Holy Family Hospital.
Samia Waheed was a resident of Barian Pathweera area of Kotli Satyan and she was staying in the nursing hostel of Holy Family Hospital for nursing education. She died in the student s hostel when she fell ill day before her death.
Director Emergency Dr. Tanveer has been made chairman of the inquiry committee. The two members are Dr. Muhammad Naeem and Dr. Rubina Kausar.
According to hospital sources, Samia Waheed was not shifted to the hospital despite her health condition. The third year student was tormented in the hostel for an hour. The hostel warden did not cooperate in transferring the student to the hospital. The hospital management has directed the inquiry committee to investigate the whole matter within 48 hours and submit a report to the authorities.
