Govt moves to appease disgruntled BNP-M leadership

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A delegation from incumbent government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will hold meeting with disgruntled Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M) leadership today (Thursday). According to details, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Minister for Defence Pervez Khattak and Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar will meet BNP leaders to address their concerns.

The move came after BNP Chief Akhtar Mengal, during National Assembly session, announced to end coalition with PTI government. He said that his party has waited for two years but no one has bothered to pay attention to their demands despite fully supporting the government in last budget. Akhtar Mengal said that PTI had signed two agreements at the time of government formation after the 2018 General Elections and later during the presidential elections, but not a single point of the accord was implemented. We will stay in the Parliament and will keep on raising the issues, he added.
