Too late for selective or smart lockdown to stop spread of coronavirus: Saad Rafique
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khwaja Saad Rafique has said that selective or smart lockdowns will be of no use as it is too late to stop the spread of the virus. He said that the government is busy fighting the opposition instead of the coronavirus.
Khwaja Saad Rafique, while talking about the situation in the country, said that now, coronavirus has entered every house and no amount of lockdowns can help. He said that the selected lockdown imposed since Tuesday night is an example of the government’s confusion.
The leader said that when the country’s doctors were urging imposition of strict lockdown, the Prime Minister was talking about smart lockdowns which has deteriorated the situation further.
The PML-N leader said that the PM did not take the provincial government on board during his visit to Sindh, not even giving it a date for a meeting. He said that the PM is going to Larkana to target the PPP’s political stronghold.
