Covid-19: Imran Khan offers to share Ehsaas Program with India
LAHORE (Web Desk) - Prime Minister Imran Khan has offered to provide India with the mechanism of his successful cash transfer scheme ‘Ehsaas emergency cash program’.
On the social networking site Twitter, Prime Minister Imran Khan shared a report on India, according to which 34% of Indian households would not be able to live more than a week without additional government assistance.
The Prime Minister offered to provide India with Pakistan’s successful cash transfer program and said that he would like to share our ‘Ehsaas Program’ with India, the benefits and transparency of which have been appreciated the world over.
He said that our government has successfully and transparently distributed Rs 120 billion to more than 10 million families in a period of nine weeks to deal with the fallout of coronavirus.
Earlier, Sania Nishtar, head of Ehsaas program, also said in her tweet that so far more than Rs 121 billion cash assistance has been given to more than 10 million deserving families.
