36 Industrial units get extension in lockdown exemption

A notification in this regard has been issued on the direction of Provincial Minister for Industries
LAHORE (Dunya News) – In a positive development for Punjab’s industrial sector, the government has decided to extend the lockdown exemption given to industrial units with pending export orders by seven days.
32 Industrial units had previously been given exemption till April 7 to avoid losing export orders with majority of them being from the textile sector. This exemption will has now been extended until April 14.
A notification in this regard has been issued on the direction of Provincial Minister for Industries Mian Aslam Iqbal. The industrial units must take precautionary measures against the coronavirus as part of the lockdown exemption. These units are located in Lahore, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad, Kasur and Pattoki.
