200 more people to reach DI Khan from Taftan today: KP Minister

KP health minister said arrangements to keep the returning persons in isolation have been finalized.

DERA ISMAIL KHAN (Dunya News) – At least 200 pilgrims (Zaireen) from Taftan, a border town in southwestern Balochistan province where Pakistan quarantined hundreds who returned from coronavirus-hit Iran, will reach Dera Ismail Khan today (Wednesday), Dunya News reported.

According to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa health minister, Taimur Saleem Khan Jhagra, all arrangements to keep the returning persons in isolation have been finalized.

Taimur Saleem Khan Jhagra informed that the pilgrims will stay at a hostel in DI Khan while the students residing at the hostel will be provided an alternative place for accommodation.

The coronavirus has been confirmed in 172 people in Sindh, 27 in Punjab, 16 in Balochistan, 16 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, four in Islamabad and three in Gilgit-Baltistan.
