BEIJING (Dunya News) - Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that China has set a new precedent by controlling such a large scale epidemic in such a short time. He said Pakistan is benefiting from China’s experience in the fight against the coronavirus.
In an interview to Chinese media, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that Beijing has assisted Pakistan in the fight against the virus and if economic relief is provided to Pakistan, it will be very helpful for the country.
He said that China performed very well against the virus. In such a limited period of time, the Chinese government, people and leadership effectively utilized all the resources and conveyed the message to the world that they have the capacity to face challenges.
The Foreign Minister said that Pakistan has learned from China’s experience and that Pakistan has implemented the necessary protocols.
He said that large gatherings are banned and Pakistan is taking precautionary measures, but the challenge still exists. “China offered us every kind of help, sent medical teams, test kits, thermal scanners and safety equipment”, he added.
