Govt to assist those earning under Rs25,000 in buying rations

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - In a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday, the federal government decided to help people who earn less than Rs25,000 a month in buying food rations. According to sources, prior to taking the decision, PM was briefed by relevant departments and allocation of funds for buying rations in the upcoming budget was decided upon. The government will assist in the buying of flour, sugar, pulses and oil for which the finance ministry has been given specific directions. PM Imran Khan further stated that no one in the country would sleep on an empty stomach as past governments ignored this section of society but his government will look after them. Federal and provincial governments will implement this decision together, he added.
