Lahore reports highest number of cybercrime cases: FIA report

Peshawar ranks third with 1188 cases
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has released nationwide cybercrime statistics. Lahore has reported a total of 3,442 cybercrime cases.
According to FIA report, a total of 11028 cases of cybercrime were reported in Pakistan. Of these, only 436 cases were solved and 793 cases have been adjourned.
According to statistics, 147 cases were solved from 3442 cases reported in Lahore. Rawalpindi registered 1228 cases but only 59 perpetrators were convicted. Peshawar ranks third with 1188 cases.
In Karachi, 174 out of 1,174 cases were solved and only 27 suspects were sent to jail. Gujranwala reported 1,003 cases and 43 accused were sentenced.
Faisalabad got 926 complaints, 396 cases were registered in Quetta and the capital reported 244 cases.
