PSL 2020: Quetta Gladiators cruise to 5-wicket victory over Karachi Kings

KARACHI (Dunya News) – In a nail-biting game, Quetta Gladiators won the match against Karachi Kings by 5 wickets during the sixth fixture of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) tournament at Karachi s National Stadium on Sunday.
Gladiators s Captain Sarfraz Ahmed put up quite a fight till the very end by scoring 37 runs from 25 balls, while Azam Khan managed to scrape 46 runs from 30 balls before being bowled out.
With 27 off 20, which included two fours and two sixes, Shane Watson was the other notable run-getter.
Earlier, pacer Mohammad Hasnain took three wickets for 33 runs and Tymal Mills returned two for 30 which limited the home side to 156 for nine after Karachi Kings’ captain Imad Wasim elected to bat.
Iftikhar Ahmed, batting at six, struck two fours and six in his 25 off 18 towards the end of the innings to take his side to a competitive total. Playing first, Karachi Kings had set a target of 157 runs at the loss of nine wickets against Quetta Gladiators after they won the toss and elected to bat first.
During the innings, Karachi Kings’ belligerent Babar Azam made an early exit after scoring 26 runs on 23 balls whereas Alex Hales was dismissed on 29 scores. Cameron Delport was sent back to the pavilion after hitting 22 scores.
Earlier, Karachi Kings had defeated Peshawar Zalmi by 10 runs in 5th edition of PSL. Karachi Kings had set a 202-run target against Peshawar Zalmi.
It is to be mentioned here that Quetta Gladiators had also clinched victory against Peshawar Zalmi by six wickets.
