Veteran cricketers call on PM Imran, recall pleasant memories

PM Imran with others recalled the memories of World Cup 1992.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Veteran cricketer Zakir Khan along with former players called on Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday and discussed matters pertaining to cricket.

According to details, renowned cricketers, ex-West Indian skipper Sir Richard Benjamin Richardson, former Kiwi pacer Danny Morrison, veteran Pakistani captain Rameez Raja and Zarak Khan met the premier.

The veteran players chatted for an hour in a pleasant atmosphere where past events including the World Cup 1992 were recalled. PM Imran talked to Sir Richie about the downfall of West Indies in the game.

He also asked the premier how he manages to stay so calm even after holding the premiership, to which PM Imran responded: “I would not have been so calm under pressure if I was not a sportsman. I became successful in my career by withstanding all the pressure”.

Similarly, he also talked to Danny Morrison on the Kiwi team’s performance in current times.
