Customs intelligence confiscates betel nuts worth Rs157.6m

(Web Desk) - Directorate Customs Intelligence has recovered betel nuts worth Rs157.6 million from Small Trading and Industrial Estate’s warehouse after a successful raid.
According to details, 78 metric ton betel nuts were recovered during the raid. Customs Intelligence director said that smugglers supply the betel nuts to the entire city.
It is pertinent to mention here that beaten nut cutting machines were also installed in the warehouse where the smuggled merchandise was kept. A case has been registered against the culprits.
