'Timely completion of development projects to expedite economic process'

After three years, 9 percent growth has been witnessed in the flow of remittances.
(Web Desk) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has asserted that the timely completion of development projects would help expedite economic process and create job opportunities.
He presided over a meeting of government’s economic team in Islamabad and discussed future mechanism for expediting work on different development projects which are underway with the assistance of the international partners.
The premier stressed that under the Ehsas Programme, the process for timely launch of different projects should be ensured, so that maximum population could avail the government’s important welfare project.
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Social Protection and Poverty Alleviation Dr Sania Nishtar briefed the premier over the distribution of Ehsas Ration Cards in the merged tribal areas.
The meeting considered different proposals for the revival of Pakistan Steel Mills while the participants discussed in details, proposals for advertisement of Pakistan Banao certificates abroad.
The PM was apprised that after three years, 9 per cent growth has been witnessed in the flow of remittances, and this year, it has touched a figure of USD 21.8 billion.
He directed that the government’s proposals on remittances by extending facilities and incentives should be finalised in a week, so that these could be implemented accordingly.
