Govt would haven't provided facilities to JUI-F if it was afraid of protest: Dr Firdous
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan on Friday has said that the government would have not provided five star facilities to Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman for Azadi March if it was afraid of the protest. Talking to media after visiting district courts in Islamabad, the special assistant said the government has not created any hurdles in the way of the JUI-F’s marchers rather provided them with water and electricity to the protest place of their choice. She lamented the opposition parties, so-called preachers of democracy, for taking out a rally against a democratic government. She also asked the organizers of the march to respect the agreement reached with the government and not create difficulties for the residents of the capital. It is the first time that a march has been organized to protect the corruption, the special assistant concluded.
