The PML-N members of Punjab Assembly will also quit membership of the standing committees.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – As the political tensions between Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Punjab government escalated, the PML-N decided to resign as the head of all standing committees of the Punjab Assembly.
According to sources, the PML-N’s members of Punjab Assembly will also quit the membership of the standing committees and parliamentary party meeting has been summoned for approval of the decision.
The opposition party will announce resignation from chairmanships and memberships of the standing committees on Friday after approval from the PML-N’s parliamentary party.
The decision has been taken in response for not giving chairmanship of Public Accounts Committee (PAC) to opposition leader in Punjab Assembly.
The PML-N leaders also expressed anger for not issuing production orders of Hamza Shahbaz and Salman Rafique.
