Exports drop by 10 pc in one year

Trade deficit in August 2019 as compared with August 2018 shrinked by 39%.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Exports in August 2019 have witnessed a record drop of 7.6% as compared with August 2018.
As per details, exports in August. 2019 clocked at $1.859 bln vs $2.013 bln of Aug 2018.
On the other hand imports in August 2019 as compared with August 2018 recorded a drop of 26%. Imports in August 2019 clocked at $3.658 bln vs $4.961 bln of August last year.

Exports in July to August 2019 gained 2.8% to $3.753 billion while imports in July to August 2019 dropped 21% to $7.677 billion.
