UNITED NATIONS (Dunya News) – Chinese envoy to the United Nations Zhang Jun on Friday said that members of the United Nations generally feel that Kashmir issue should be resolved in accordance to the UN resolutions.
Zhang said that members of the UN expressed deep concerns over the situation of the Kashmir where they decided that both countries should refrain from taking any unilateral decision which will raise the already tensed situation. Zhang told reporters that the situation in Kashmir is “already very tensed and very dangerous.”
While talking to the media, Chinese envoy said that India has violated the Charter of the UN where the Kashmir is an internationally recognized disputed region and its status is undecided. Zhang advised India and Pakistan not to take any action which will add fuel to the already raging fire.
He asserted that China is making effort to settle down the matter in a peaceful manner. He went on to say that the whole world knows that their State Councilor Wang Yi met the Foreign Ministers of both the countries.
On the other hand, Chinese envoy asserted that India has challenged the sovereignty of the China and violated the bilateral agreement on humanitarian peace and stability in the border area. “China is very serious and won’t change the sovereignty and administration over the territory”, he added.
Zhang emphasized that the unilateral action taken by India to scrap Kashmir of its special status is not valid which deeply concerns all the members of the United Nations.
He expressed that China, Pakistan and India are neighbors and all of them are developing countries. “Pakistan and India are at a very crucial state and must find a proper solution to this historical matter of Kashmir”, he maintained.
