Independent candidate elected from PK-107-Khyber joins PTI

Sahfiq Afridi announced his joining the PTI during a meeting with senior PTI leader Jahangir Tareen.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Independent candidate elected from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly constituency PK-107-Khyber, Sahfiq Afridi, on Thursday joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Dunya News reported.

Sahfiq Afridi made the formal announcement of joining the PTI during a meeting with senior PTI leader Jahangir Tareen at his residence and reposed full confidence in the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan. Governor KP Shah Farman and Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan were also present during the meeting.

Sahfiq Afridi won the PK-107 seat by securing 9,796 votes, whereas Independent candidate Hameedullah Jan Afridi had managed to secure 8,428 votes in election held on 16 seats for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly.
