Pakistan win first Inter-Parliamentary Cricket World Cup.

LONDON (Dunya News) – Pakistan won the first Inter-Parliamentary Cricket World Cup after beating Bangladesh by nine wickets in London on Friday (yesterday).

Bangladesh scored 104 runs while batting first. Pakistan chased the target successfully after losing only one wicket. Ali Amin Gandapur scored 52 runs and Ali Zahid registered 30 runs.

The event aimed to promote relationships between the parliamentarians and to celebrate the 2019 Cricket World Cup taking place now in England and Wales.

The four-day tournament began with lawmakers from England, Australia, New Zealand, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan taking to the field.

Chris Heaton-Harris – a British Member of Parliament (MP) who organised the tournament – earlier said, “I just love cricket - it’s a game that brings so many different people together.”
