Two killed, 16 injured in rain related incidents in parts of Punjab

Heavy rain with gusty winds lashed different cities of Punjab on Wednesday.

MULTAN/BHAKKAR (Dunya News) – At least two people were killed and 16 others got injured as roofs of several houses collapsed due to heavy rain in different cities of Punjab on Wednesday, Dunya News reported.

Heavy rain with gusty winds lashed different cities of Punjab including Faisalabad, Multan, Bhakkar, Toba Tek Singh, Pindi Bhattian and Chiniot on Wednesday evening.

According to details, roofs of seven houses collapsed due to heavy rain in various parts of Multan, killing one person and injuring 16 others. Rescue teams shifted the injured to Nishtar Hospital, Multan. Separately, a 10-year-old boy was killed when roof of a house collapsed in Bhakkar.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted more rain in Rawalpindi, Bannu, Hazara, Kohat, Sargodha, Sahiwal, Dera Ismail Khan, Bahawalpur divisions, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir during the next 24 hours.
