ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Focal Person to Prime Minister on polio eradication Babar Bin Atta expressed today (June 21) to drive a polio awareness campaign to clear all the suspicions in parents about polio drops in Pakistan as it has become a hurdle in completely eradicating the virus.
In an exclusive talk with Dunya News, Babar Bin Atta said that 27 cases have already emerged this year about poliovirus. Past governments did nothing to overcome the concerns and rumors pertaining to polio drops.
PM’s focal person asserted that their mission is not to fight just fatal diseases but also poliovirus because as long as it prevails, it will keep the risk of pestilence in children alive.
On June 1, Bin Atta alerted parents to not to adhere to propaganda against polio campaign and get their children vaccinated.
The polio vaccine has eradicated the disease globally. Parents should be careful against the propaganda and get their offspring’s immunized against polio in the anti-polio campaign, he added.
