Joint opposition body formed to block budget approval

The committee is tasked to woo the PTI-led government’s allies to block the passage of budget.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The joint opposition parties in the National Assembly formed a 10-member special committee to woo the PTI-led government’s allies to block the passage of budget in the National Assembly, Dunya News reported on Thursday.

The committee formed by opposition leader in the National Assembly, Shahbaz Sharif, consists of Khursheed Shah, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Shazia Marri and Sherry Rehman from Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Rana Tanveer, Rana Sanaullah, Ayaz Sadiq and Murtaza Javed Abbasi from Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Shahida Akhtar Ali from MMA and Amir Haider Hoti from ANP.

The committee is tasked to woo the PTI-led government’s allies to block the passage of budget in the National Assembly.
