Time has come to send government packing, says Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has on Thursday said that time has come to send the government packing.

The former premier said in a media talk that the government has destroyed the country’s economy and its policies have failed. The government changed its team but there are no expectations from the new members either, he said.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi told that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman will decide the date of an All Parties Conference (APC), and a unanimous decision will be taken in it regarding the country’s situation. He also assured that the steps will be taken under the constitution.

Earlier today, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Rana Sanaullah said “incompetent prime minister and Pakistan cannot work together under the current circumstances.”

He spoke to the media, and lashed out at the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) over weak economic policies. “The rate of US dollar would be no different as the IMF has been superimposed on the state bank,” Sanaullah said.

Meanwhile, PML-N Senator Mushahid Ullah Khan said that the country has been handed over to the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

“The financial burden is put [on the shoulders of the public] in the first month,” he said, adding that at the time of providing relief, the government asks for two years.
