Health Insaf Card Programme launched in South Punjab: CM Buzdar

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar, in a message on World Health Day 2019, asserted that the Health Insaf Card Programme has been initially launched in Southern Punjab, and its scope would gradually be expanded across the province.

He revealed that a roadmap was being formulated and implemented for providing modern healthcare facilities to patients.

He maintained that it was the highest priority of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led government to ensure improvement in the heath sector and provide essential facilities to the general public using modern technology.

“It is a revolutionary measure through which every family would be able to avail medical facilities ranging from Rs20,000 to Rs700,000,” Buzdar said, adding that poverty-stricken families would be able to opt free medical facility not only for themselves but for their family members while the government would bear the expenses.

The chief minister said he himself was monitoring implementation of the health reforms programme, and in this regard he has been paying surprise visits to hospitals in order to ensure delivery of standard medical facilities to the people.
