'Qatar expresses keen interest for investment in Pakistan'

Abdul Razak Dawood expressed confidence that investment from Qatar will start pouring in Pakistan.

(Web Desk) – Prime Minister’s Adviser on Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood said on Monday that Qatar has expressed keen interest for investment in different sectors of Pakistan.

Dawood, while talking to the state media in Islamabad, following a meeting with Qatari delegation asserted that the talks with the Qatari delegation focused on investment opportunities in power, infrastructure, tourism and agriculture.

He said Qatar considers Pakistan as an important place for its food security and we have expressed readiness for it. He said an action plan will be formulated after identification of areas by Qatar for investment.

The Adviser on Commerce was confident that investment from Qatar will start pouring in Pakistan in next few months.

Responding to a question, Abdul Razak Dawood said the ministry of petroleum will also discuss with Qatar the import of additional LNG on long term basis.
