Pakistan gives nod to Sharda Temple Corridor

Pakistan has decided to open Sharda Temple corridor in Azad Jammu and Kashmir for Hindu pilgrims.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – After the Kartarpur Corridor, Pakistan has given its nod to the opening of a corridor for Indian Hindu pilgrims to visit the ancient Sharda Temple in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Dunya News reported.
According to sources, Pakistani officials visited the Sharda Temple two days ago and formal announcement from the government regarding the opening of a corridor is expected very soon.
Sharda Temple is an almost 5,000 years old ancient Hindu temple. It was established in 237 BC during the reign of King Ashoka. Close to the temple, there is a pond called ‘Madomati’ – its water is as sacred to the community members as the water of Katasraj temple.
