"Imran Khan put the international prestige of the country at stake by taking loans," he said.

SUKKUR (Dunya News) – Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senior leader Syed Khursheed Shah on Sunday lashed out at the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) by stating that poverty-stricken people were are reeling under inflation owing to the PTI’s “failed” economic policies.

He addressed an event in Sukkur where he asserted that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari would lead a train march from Rohri to Rawalpindi on March 27 with an objective of “pulling” people out of suffering.

“The march is to secure fundamental rights of the general public and against corruption,” he said, adding that his party has given enough time to the PTI, but no significant improvement could be observed.

“Imran Khan put the international prestige of the country at stake by taking loans,” he said.

He regretted that former premier Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s grandson was being branded traitor, adding everyone knew the politics the Bhutto family had been doing.

Furthermore, Shah appealed to the general public to join the PPP chief’s march with a strong hope that people would support them.

He said opposition parties had 65 percent of the people’s mandate, however maintained that Pakistan could not sustain political crisis.

Earlier today, Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed said the PPP had been granted permission to lead a train march. However, he regretted that he was not allowed to stage such march via train in the past.

Had the PPP chief been against corruption, he would have emerged as national hero but he was now ‘zero’, the minister said, suggesting that the people holding the march should do some retrospection. He termed the train march “stupidity.”
