PFA seizes 4300kg rotten meat in Lahore

Punjab Food Authority (PFA) conducted a raid on illegal slaughterhouses.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Attempt to supply sick animals’ meat was failed in Bakkar Mandi area of Lahore as 4300kg rotten meat was caught in a raid on Thursday.

Punjab Food Authority (PFA) conducted a raid on illegal slaughterhouses where they red handed caught the unhealthy and substandard meat.

They also recovered 8000kg remains of animals in the raid.

PFA disposed off the unhealthy meat and lodged a complaint against three people who were involved in it.

Sealed slaughterhouses were reopened illegally for such activities while fake seals were applied on meat, they added.

Directorate General PFA said that citizens should immediately alert the selling of unhealthy meat.
