LUCKNOW (Dunya News) – Amid escalating tensions between Pakistan and India after Pulwama attack, saffron-clad men tortured two Kashmiri street vendors with a stick in Lucknow. In a bid to shut freedom movement, the Indian mob abused, slapped and thrashed the Kashmiris, who were selling dry fruits, because of their identity.
However, some locals stepped into the matter and rescued the vendors.
A video of the incident, which took place in Daliganj area, has gone viral on social media sites.
On the other hand, at least two civilians were injured in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) due to "unprovoked" firing by Indian troops across the restive Line of Control (LoC), the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
While providing a 24-hour situation update, the media wing of military maintained that Indian forces targeted the civilian population in Bagsar sector near AJK’s Bhimber district.
Two citizens named Azmat Bibi and Baba Khan sustained severe injuries.
