KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to stage three Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches, originally scheduled to be held in Lahore, at the National Stadium Karachi, Dunya News reported on Sunday.
This implies that all eight matches will be held in Karachi.
Previously, Karachi was scheduled to host five matches of the fourth edition of PSL, including the final on March 17.
However, recent crisis and the simmering tension between Pakistan and India which has posed certain security threats, has forced the PCB to take such a move.
Sindh chief minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, when asked about the possibility of Karachi hosting all the PSL matches of the Pakistan leg of the tournament, confirmed that the metropolis will be the venue for all of the last eight matches.
The PCB is expected to make a formal announcement on the matter within the next 24 hours.
