King Abdullah calls PM Imran, offers mediation between Pakistan-India

PM Imran said Indian war hysteria is threatening regional peace.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – King Abdullah of Jordan on Friday telephoned Prime Minister Imran Khan offered to mediate to ease tensions between the nuclear arch rivals.

During the telephonic conversation, King Abdullah while expressing concern on the tense security situation, expressed solidarity with Pakistan.

The Jordan’s King also appreciated Pakistan’s peace efforts and goodwill gesture to release the Indian pilot.

PM Imran Khan thanked King Abdullah for his offer of mediation and also invited him to visit Pakistan.

Speaking on the occasion, the prime minister said that the government’s basic agenda is to alleviate poverty and restoration of peace, while on the other hand, Indian war hysteria is threatening regional peace.

Imran Khan went on to say that Kashmir dispute is the primary reason behind tensions between the two countries which needs to be resolved according to the UN resolutions.
