PM Imran Khan to decide fate of Fawad Chaudhry as minister today.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – After a rift emerged between Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry and Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Political Affairs Naeemul Haq over Pakistan Television’s new managing director, PM Imran Khan will decide Fawad’s future as minister on Monday (today) after meeting him.
Naeemul Haq had claimed that Fawad Chaudhry’s resignation has already been received at the Prime Minister’s Office while Chaudhry denied such rumors.
“I have not resigned from my position yet; all reports regarding my resignation are baseless. Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs doesn’t know anything,” Fawad said while talking to media on Sunday.

However, the information and broadcasting minister maintained that he will follow the directions of the premier and accept his decision.
Let it be known that Fawad Chaudhry had bashed PTV MD in a ceremony hosted by the state-run television. PTV board of directors also responded to the criticism and accused the minister of sabotaging the institution.
Naeemul Haq afterwards took to Twitter in favor of PTV management and wrote in a series of tweets, “The Prime Minister has full confidence in the Board of PTV and it’s management and believes PTV should be an independent organisation like BBC and the government will take all steps necessary towards that end.”
“It has always been the philosophy of PMIK to focus on institutional development which can become the basis of national development. , the PM is determined to change the national landscape in every sphere by making all national institutions autonomous and professionally managed.”
“All the newcomers in PTI must understand and follow the philosophy of Imran Khan. PTI is a strong ideological movement and its success has been due to steadfast determination of its leader to pursue justice and fairness. Anyone thinking otherwise has no future in the party.”
