(Web Desk) - Minister for Maritime Affairs Syed Ali Haider Zaidi stressed on the need for expediting intra-governmental cooperation to achieve the target of exponential growth in exports.
Reportedly, he spoke to the media during his visit to Karachi Port Trust and Pakistan National Shipping Corporation in Karachi.
Meanwhile, Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmad accompanied him.
Ali Zaidi said that the development of Pakistan’s ports as gateways to the region requires extraordinary measures, including freight corridors for efficient flow of goods within the country and landlocked neighboring countries.
He said that Sheikh Rashid also inspected the sites for prospective railway lines connecting Port Qasim and Karachi Port Trust and supply of goods from other parts of the country.
