LAHORE (Dunya News) – Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Shamim Khan has on Thursday remarked while hearing Sahiwal incident case that the court will order to form a judicial commission if heirs are satisfied.
The petition was filed by Khalil’s brother, Jalil.
The court commented that federal government will inform about the formation of judicial commission in one week. Justice Sardar Muhammad Shamim Khan said the commission’s report cannot be made a part of court’s record.
The petitioner’s counsel stated that Umair Khalil is an important eyewitness, upon which chief justice directed to record his statement in today’s hearing.
Justice Sadaqat Ali Khan inquired from government’s lawyer about the date of the incident and remarked that no progress has been made in the case. The counsel replied that the petitioner has not requested Prime Minster Imran Khan to form a judicial commission.
Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Shamim Khan replied, “Is it only necessary for the petitioner to file plea?”
