Virat Kohli secured 45 runs for 59 balls.

The New Zealand captain Kane Williamson played an outstanding innings of 64 runs for 81 balls when he was eventually caught by Vijay Shankar in Kuldeep Yadav’s over.

Ross Taylor followed him in the pavilion with 24 runs for 41 balls when he was caught by Yuzvendra Chahal.

Mohammed Shami secured three wickets with the economy of 3.17 runs in six overs.
