Anti-encroachment drive: Welfare institutions served notice to vacate footpaths

The action is taken to curb the land grabbing mafia in the metropolitan.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – In the new phase of Grand Anti-encroachment operation Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) on Tuesday has served notice to welfare institutions to vacate footpaths.
According to details, KMC has directed the institutions to vacate footpaths within three days as the authority has decided to demolish illegal constructions.
The action is taken to curb the land grabbing mafia in the metropolitan which is hindering an unbiased anti-encroachment operation against illegal constructions and buildings.
As the grand anti-encroachment operation is in full swing, however, in some areas Karachi Development Authority (KDA) had to deployed police and rangers to avoid expected interference of land mafia.
