Four suspects arrested in Ali Raza Abidi murder case

All the individuals are linked with the murder and are under investigation.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – At least four suspects have been arrested for the murder of Ali Raza Abidi, former MNA and leader of a faction of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).
Law enforcement agencies conducted an operation last night and arrested a suspect near Star gate. The detained man then identified three more suspects who were arrested later.
Sources say that all the individuals are linked with the murder and are under investigation.
Earlier, Sindh Home Ministry decided to launch an investigation against private security company giving services to Ali Raza Abidi who was murdered on December 25.
According to police, the personal security guards of Abidi were untrained while they were having insufficient weapons and were deployed with only five cartridges.
Slain leader’s security guards said that they remained unsuccessful in opening the fire despite loading the chamber for several times.
Abidi, 46, was shot dead outside his home in Khayaban-i-Ghazi, DHA, on Tuesday moments after he returned from his workplace.
The CCTV showed two men on a motorbike emerged in the scene chasing Abidi’s vehicle.
One of them got off the bike and fired multiple shots at him at a very close range the moment he stopped his four-wheeler at the entrance of his house.
