Ali Raza Abidi assassination: Private security company faces investigation

Police revealed Abidi's security guards were untrained while they were having insufficient weapons.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Sindh Home Ministry on Friday has decided to launch investigation against private security company giving services to Ali Raza Abidi who was murdered on December 25.

According to police, the personal security guards of Abidi were untrained while they were having insufficient weapons and were deployed with only five cartridges.

Slain leader’s security guards said that they remained unsuccessful in opening the fire despite loading the chamber for several times.

On the other hand, Home Minister Qazi Kabir revealed that license of many companies has been canceled due to their ineffective performance.

There are 260 registered security companies in Sindh among which 150 are functional. However, the standard of only 50 companies is satisfactory, he added.
