NAB spokesman clarifies that Mian Javaid did not die in its custody
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Sargodha University Lahore Campus Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mian Javaid died of cardiac arrest in Camp Jail on Friday.
According to sources, concerned authorities were immediately informed about Mian Javed’s heart attack but due to the negligence of the authorities, his condition deteriorated.
He was then rushed to hospital for medical assistance but died on the way.
Mian Javaid’s heirs requested the police to remove his handcuffs but they refused to remove the handcuffs.
The handcuffs were later removed after the arrival of Magistrate.
On the other hand, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) spokesman clarified that Mian Javaid accused in Sargodha University case did not die in its custody.
He said that the deceased was on judicial custody in Camp Jail Lahore on the orders of Accountability Court since October, 2018 and died in Services Hospital in judicial custody.
The impression that he died in NAB custody was incorrect and totally baseless. The spokesman urged the media to avoid speculations over the issue.
