Marriyum announces to file case against police for baton charging PMLN supporters

Marriyum has also demanded to release the supporters who were taken into custody.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Marriyum Aurangzeb on Thursday has announced to file a case against police for baton charging the PML-N supporters outside the Accountability Court as PML-N president and Opposition Leader in the National Assembly (NA) Shehbaz Sharif was produced before Accountability Court in Ashiana Housing scandal after his previous physical remand ended.

She has also demanded to release the supporters who were taken into custody during the police baton charge against them. PMLN supporters also staged protested against police baton charge.

Earlier, the clash had erupted when a scuffled broke out between the PML-N supporters and security personnel. Police tortured the supporters and also took many under custody.

Punjab government spokesman Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chohan has blamed Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz Sharif for this protest and unrest.

While talking to Dunya News, Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chohan said that in an earlier statement, Hamza Shahbaz had said claimed to give tough time in and outside Assembly.

He called the happening ‘pre-planned’ saying that PML-N leader Marriyum Aurangzeb showed eggs that they had brought with them.
