Punjab govt imposes Section-144 til December 1

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab government on Saturday imposed Section-144 of the Pakistan Penal Code across province for one week to maintain peace and avoid any untoward incident.
As per details garnered, legal action would be taken against those unfurling provocative posts on social media websites.
Punjab additional chief secretary of interior issued the notification in this regard stating that Section-144 would remain intact for a week i-e December-1.
Under Section-144, rallies, public gatherings and congregations of five or more people are punishable offence.
Under the law, the use of loudspeakers is also prohibited. Moreover, public meetings will also be banned in Punjab.
