Govt forms high-power committee to deal with Karachi problems

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal cabinet on Thursday constitutes high-power committee to cure the woes of Karachi, Pakistan’s economic capital.

As per details garnered, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan presided over a huddle of federal cabinet here in Islamabad today and contemplated over 10-point agenda.

The federal cabinet also decided to withdraw notification of suspension of license of prohibited bore weapons whereas a committee in this regard has also been constituted. State minister for interior Shehryar Khan Afridi will lead the committee.

During the huddle, special advisor to PM for institutional reforms and austerity of Pakistan Ishrat Hussain briefed cabinet on 100-day plan. The advisor also updated cabinet on ongoing austerity drive.

On the other hand, PM directed all ministers to craft comprehensive plan in the next 40 days.
