Obama rings Indian, Afghan counterparts on Afghan Policy

US President Barack Obama talked to his Afghan and Indian counterparts over the phone and took them into confidence on new Afghan Policy while video conference with President Asif Ali Zardari will be held today, reported Dunya News. Diplomatic sources revealed that Obama would try to remove Pakistans apprehensions on Afghan Policy. According to a statement issued by Afghan Presidential Palace, Barack Obamas video conference with Hamid Karzai lasted for one hour. Both the leaders discussed security situation and military and economic aspects of new Afghan policy. According to Indian media, Indian PM Manmohan Singh assured Obama of its positive role for brining stability to the region.
