Member Provincial Assembly NWFP Dr. Shamsher has been killed while more than 30 others injured in a suicide attack at MPAs residence in Kabal area of Swat, Dunya News Tuesday reported.Dr. Shamsher was exchanging Eid greetings and embracing people at his residence in Dherai area of Tehsil Kabal when a suicide attacker came in and blew himself up. According to hospital sources, Dr. Shamsher has expired due to injuries whereas some of the injured are in critical condition. All the bazaars of Kabal have been closed while curfew has been imposed for indefinite period in the area after the incident. Dr Shamsher Ali was the joint secretary of Awami National Party. He got elected from Dherai area of Tehsil Kabal in Swat from the provincial assembly seat of PF 83 Swat-4. Dr Shamsher was also a member of Standing Committee on environment. He had also been a member of Standing Committee on Zakat and Usher, Social Welfare and Women Development. Dr. Shahmsher opted for practice after doing LLB. He was born in Swat on May 15, 1950. Dr Shamasher resided in MPA hostel and went to his ancestral home for Eid Holidays where he got killed in a suicide attack.
