No deadline yet for Operation Rah-e-Nijaat: Athar Abbas
Pak Army spokesman Major General Athar said that no deadline could be given to end the Operation Rah-e-Nijaat. Operation would be launched in North Waziristan if militants of South Waziristan amass there. Giving a briefing to media in Islamabad, he said that roots of terrorists are very deep in the Operation areas and they are getting heavy support. He said that militants have large cache of arms but security forces are ready to fight in all conditions. Athar Abbas said that militants are on the run now and they are hiding in forests and caves but security forces got control of all the roads leading to South Waziristan. He said that warning has been given to elders of North Waziristan that they should not provide safe havens to South Waziristan militants.
