Experts think that SmartBird will be perfect for spying.

German high-tech automation company, Festo created ‘SmartBird’ by replicating the movements of a bird in flight into a robot which resembles a sea gull. The robo-bird can take off, fly and land on its own, simply by flapping its wings.Festo referenced that the internal mechanics were similar to flying machines devised hundreds of years ago by Leonardo da Vinci. An engineer of the company said that, mans desire to fly led to the creation of aircrafts which paved the way for the development and creation of the ‘SmartBird’. Festo said that because the ‘SmartBird’ looks like a real bird, it may be used by the military in the future, while experts speculate that the ‘SmartBird’ will be perfect for spying.
