Shoaib Akhtar announces to retire from international cricket after the World Cup.

Making his debut against West Indies on November 29, 1997, Shoaib had been a threat for batsmen around the world. Shoaib sent 178 batsmen to pavilion in the 46 matches. He also got 247 wickets in 163 one day internationals. Shoaib was featured in 15 T20 internationals in which he picked 19 wickets. He has taken two ten-wicket haul and 10 five-for during his test career. He managed a five-for four times in one day international cricket. His best bowling in a test match is 11/78, while 6 wickets for 16 runs is his best one day bowling performance. Shoaib enjoyed unprecedented popularity during his career, not only for his on field performance but also for his off the field controversies.
