The extension plan of the US embassy in Islamabad has been challenged in the SC.

A petition filed in the Lahore registry Branch of Supreme Court, requesting the court to order Capital Development Authority (CDA) to cancel approval of the extension plan of the US embassy in Islamabad.According to the petitioner, the US embassy building can be used for spying and the extension plan will be a security risk for other sensitive buildings present in the Red Zone.It is pertinent to mention here that such an application had already been filed in the Supreme Court.
