Malik orders new operation in Lyari tonight

Interior Minister has announced a large scale operation against extortionists in Lyrari.

Speaking to the media, Rehman Malik said everybody is bound to respect law. Lyari was our constituency; so the operation has been commenced from here, he said.He said that negative and destructive elements would be crushed and the war-torn area would be turned into a model colony.He said targeted action was being taken against extortionists. He said that five to six people had been placed on the Exit Control List (ECL) after a list was provided by IG Sindh. The Interior Minister added that criminals had no association with a religion or organization.In reply to a question Malik said that drone attacks were equal to an attack on Pakistan’s sovereignty and that Parliament would decide on the resumption of Nato supplies.
